A fantastic "up close and personal" night with George, his life stories and education philosophies ..... interspersed with brilliant playing and logical explanations of his techniques. As part of The Music Place's monthly workshop series, this event was totally inspirational .... A real gem for those who attended.

Stax of Sax II at The Limerick - Sth Melbourne

What a great night of saxophones and saxophone players were on show on 4th July!

The Music Place, bought together well loved performers from the jazz, rhythm & blues, rock and roots scenes. Many, many thanks to all of the following for working so closely together for a brilliant result.

270 people came through the doors (and many stayed until the last notes were blown) - brilliant for an icy cold Monday night in July!

What a treat of a gig! Mainly mainstream tunes with a New Orleans kind of feel to the night. The audience (and guest artists) were treated to a really wide variety of performances .... solo, duets, trios and the numbers kept growing ... get the picture? With a final blowout of all the artists, the night ended on a huge high!
