Chuck Findley's workshop today was...an absolute treat!

He is in Australia as guest of the Melbourne International Festival of Brass. His concert last night was a sellout success and the audience was treated to his amazingly beautiful playing.

Chuck spent this morning at The Music Place - first up, he ran a workshop - talking about his life through from age 8 when he decided he wanted to be a musician. What a fascinating life and career so far - Chuck shared so  many experiences that he has had - gigs, musicians that he has worked with, playing tips and lots more. He also talked about his own goal setting and how he has achieved each individual goal to date.

Chuck also play tested three Temby trumpets (Vintage, Rose Brass Professional and Silver Cryo Custom), and was very impressed ...  "I'd play any of these"

Chuck stayed and stayed, had lunch with our staff, had a fun blast on a Temby curved soprano sax (he played a very old Conn curved soprano years and years ago and loved it - apart from the tuning) and everyone talked and talked about music blah for ages - what a great day! - interesting and fun!
