Azumi Z2 Sterling Silver Flute w/Altus Headjoint
The design of a headjoint plays a crucial role in shaping the tone of a flute. Recognizing this importance, Shuichi Tanaka, the founder of AZUMI flutes, set out to create a handmade headjoint that pairs with an affordable flute body of high production quality.
Open holes and a wider range of tones
The AZUMI AZZ2RBE comes with an ALTUS Z-Cut Sterling silver (925) head joint for easy articulation, powerful and precise focus of tone. The french pointed key-arms are giving an increased stability to the mechanism. Open holes allow numerous additional handles and effects like glissando, multiphonics and microtones. The body of the flute is made of silver-plated nickel silver and it is pitched in 442 Hz. The flute has an offset G and a B-foot joint.
