Reka Brass Cleaning Kit

The REKA Company was founded in 1988 and specializes in the sale of cleaning and care products and special oils and lubricants for all wind instruments including their selection of  Cleaning Sets designed individually for all woodwind and brass instruments. These kits utalise a range of brushes, 'cleaning bars', and flexible cleaning snakes with specially designed sponge brushes to clean all internal tubes of all brass instruments

Karl-Heinz Viesehon, himself a trumpeter, recognized the need for maintenance products individually suited to every music instrument. Thus he developed an extensive product line that fills all requirements from piccolo to tuba.

What you should know about the interior cleaning of brass instruments:

• It is indispensable.
• During playing, solid materials are transmitted to the instrument through the saliva that form deposits on the inside of the tubing
• These deposits also contain aggressive acids which attack the metal and influence the flow of the vibrating air column and the instrument’s own vibrations, thus causing noticeable reductions in tone quality and playing facility.

• Therefore, removing these substances is indispensable for proper maintenance and care of your instrument.
