Duck Bill Meyer 100th anniversary New York Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece size 6M

This mouthpiece came about as a very limited issue / defect in the connoisseur production. The story we have heard is that there was an imperfection in the beak of a batch of mouthpieces that meant the person hand finishing the mouthpieces buffed more out of the beak to remove it resulting in a flatter 'duck-bill' beak. These were taken back and exchanged however we kept one as some people found it more comfortable. Everything else about the mouthpiece is the same as the regular connoisseur range.

The Connoisseur Series Meyer Bros New York Alto Sax mouthpiece is a re-release of the famous model that Cannonball Adderley played, right down to the brass retention ring on the shank. The model is available in four facings: 5M, 6M, 7M and 8M. Meyer Bros New York and Mike Smith (the lead alto sax player for Frank Sinatra Sr. and Jr) created the perfect blend of flexible, warm and dark alto sax sound along with plenty of power behind it.
