This pre-loved Forestone limited edition is in as new condition. Featuring a stunning titanium white copper, with a black nickel clear lacquer finish and hand engraving - it sounds as good as it looks!
Forestone has released the "Black Panther", a 10th anniversary limited edition model based on the top-of-the-line RX series.
The biggest feature is the use of titanium white copper, a new material that adds nickel and titanium to the main ingredient copper, and black nickel for the finish.
The tube body is black, the key mechanism is silver, and the visual impression is very tight. Only the carved part has a reddish color of titanium, white, and copper that is a point of view and enhances the appearance.
The key layout is very compact and easy to handle even for small hands.
The use of a rolled tone hole, which is rare now, determines the key action comfortably and reduces the hesitation of fingering.
The octave key shape, which is reminiscent of the Selmer Balanced Action, shows respect for vintage instruments, and the speed of pronunciation and responsiveness are certainly close to vintage.
The pitch is good, there is no unevenness depending on the range, and I feel that the level of perfection as an instrument is high.
The most distinctive features of this instrument are the thick sound with moderately calm overtones of titanium white copper, and the clarity of the core of the sound that is typical of black nickel.
Not only does it look flashy, but it gives the impression that it is an honestly made instrument. If you are looking for a unique alto, please give it a try.
