To ensure a very responsive reed the cane is stored to age and season for at least 3 years before being manufactured into reeds.
The reed profile is similar to a traditional French cut but with its shallow shoulders left with a closed half moon shape commonly referred to as unfiled. This helps to maintain the tuning despite being an extremely flexible and responsive cane.
